Always a creative, Shelby enjoys using their art to help further mission-based work and artistic endeavors. She is a musician, graphic designer, fiber artist, and educator.

She has been involved in nonprofit and advocacy work for the last 10 years. They have spent the last 6 years working for and with nonprofits in the Portland metro area, including managing a multi-million dollar grant program for TriMet.

She spent 5 years as a founding board member of the Westside Queer Resource Center - a Washington County-based nonprofit that serves the LGBTQIA2S++ community and its allies - serving as board secretary and treasurer.

In their personal life, you can catch Shelby watching horror movies, playing gigs with their punk band, crafting, and traveling internationally with their spouse.
