Shelby has been involved in nonprofit and advocacy work for the last 10 years. they have spent the last 6 years working for and with nonprofits in the Portland metro area, including managing a multi-million dollar grant program for trimet.

she spent 5 years as a founding board member of the Westside queer resource center - a washington county-based nonprofit that serves the lgbtqia2s+ community and its allies - serving as board secretary and treasurer.

Shelby is passionate about advocating for under-supported, under-represented, and oppressed communities through community engagement and innovative and inclusive program development.

In their personal life, Shelby enjoys watching horror movies, playing gigs with their punk band, crafting, and hanging out with their spouse and pets.
